What are the different status levels?
The Oneworld program offers three levels of status: Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Oneworld Emerald is the top tier elite status, and as such, offers significantly more benefits than Sapphire and Ruby statuses for regular travelers. Emerald members can enter first class lounges, first class priority check-in, first class priority boarding, first class baggage priority check, priority security, extra baggage allowance, and preferred seat selection.
As an Emerald member, you can take one person (even not on the same flight with you) on the same day, to the first class/business class airport lounges with Emerald logo, including the ones of other airlines.
A very high requirement is required to achieve the Emerald status. It can be obtained by flying 90 sectors or 100,000 miles a year. This level is basically difficult to obtain without any special upgrade. Therefore, our main product offered to you is Oneworld sapphire status.
Oneworld Sapphire
The status of the Star Alliance (Gold) and SkyTeam (Elite Plus) is similar to the oneworld sapphire membership level. Sapphire members can enter business class lounges, business class priority check-in, business class priority boarding, baggage priority check, extra baggage allowance, and preferred seat selection.
As an Emerald member, you can take one person (even not on the same flight with you) on the same day, to the first class/business class airport lounges with Sapphire logo, including the ones of other airlines (excluding Qantas Domestic Business Class Lounge)
*Oneworld Ruby membership level is not introduced here due to it very limited benefits.
